    el Grocer was launched to solve our own grocery shopping nuisances and address the need to make grocery shopping easy (and fun) again. "Offline" grocery shopping often doesn't fit with today's modern lifestyle, as it requires too much time and effort on the customers' part.

    A major trend in the Middle East is customers calling to place their grocery order and this accounts for approximately 35-40% of all grocery transactions in the region, but the process is not smooth and there are a lot of pain points. Through technology we could acknowledge and minimise these.

    We have created a value-added marketplace for grocery retail, using a model that has transcended many industries. Our platform provides a much-needed ecosystem that connects retailers, brands, and shoppers.

    Our app is set to make a significant impact on people's lives as it will enable them to easily, cheaply, and conveniently buy their groceries online. We believe that we have a very strong product and a grocery retailer network that is continually evolving.

    The MENAT grocery market averages at $650 billion. Assuming that 10% are willing and able to shift to online (a conservative estimate), this places the online grocery delivery market at $65 billion. Within the UAE alone, there is a high frequency of phone delivery orders to local grocery stores due to the convenience of home delivery.

    We are looking to raise $300,00, which will be used for:

    • Domestic Expansion: to Abu Dhabi (sales, content, and customer service)
    • Product Development: Develop and implement an Arabic version of the App
    • Customer Acquisition and Retention: Marketing investment to increase our userbase and orders
    • Product Enhancements: Improvement to increase conversion, retention and average basket size through our revolutionary technical solutions
    • Working Capital: Team salaries, retailer devices, tech needs and office expenses
    • Funding: Continuation of Series A fundraising process
    • Regional Expansion: Initiate due diligence process to move into new markets including Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

    The Company’s exit strategy includes the public offering of shares or the acquisition of the Company by a Global industry player. The potential acquirer could be either a direct global competitor or an established regional industry player.
