Why Fruitful Day?

With an annual growth rate (CAGR) in excess of 50% since starting in 2015, we’re bursting out of our original 1,300 square feet warehouse facility. Over the last four years, we’ve built a vertically integrated business that carries out the end-to-end process of sourcing delicious fruit, maintaining cold storage in our own facility, washing, preparing and packaging the fruit; and delivering in our own refrigerated vans.

While we still do all our customer service and sales in-house, we’ve begun to outsource digital marketing, which is yielding impressive results. In the last few months, we’ve cut our cost of acquiring new business by 25%, allowing us to increase our direct marketing spend and achieve even greater return on investment (ROI).

We’re at an inflection point in the business, and we are eager to capitalise on the momentum that we’ve achieved to date. We’re in the process of moving to a new warehouse facility that is almost 5x larger than our current space.

This expansion will enable us to continue to grow our core home and office subscription verticals, aggressively grow and add more products to our gifting range and broaden our catering services. We also have an eye on exciting new and scalable product development opportunities like popsicles, smoothies, and other FMCG items that have potential scalability outside of the UAE.

As a company, we consider the details and it makes a big difference; it sets us apart from the rest. Not long after launching in 2015, our Corporate customers asked us deliver the same great
tasting fruit to their homes and we launched our fruit delivery to homes.

Gifting & Events

Our newest and fastest growing vertical is our gifting and event range. Earlier in the year #watermeloncake started trending on social media, and now we have a gifting range that is added over AED 1M of revenue in the last 12 months.

Please note a portion of the funds was already raised via convertible debt and used to begin work on our 2020 plans.

The following exit strategies have been considered and approved by the Board of Directors:

1) We aim to pay all shareholders an annual dividend whenever possible. This shall ultimately be at the discretion of the Board of Directors, with a suggested cash sweep of 25% of Free Cash Flow (FCF) per annum providing that FCF is in excess of AED 1m

2) We anticipate a possible trade sale over the next 5-7 years, which may yield a high multiple exit to any shareholders present at the time
